How do you get to Victoria, British Columbia?Map of Victoria Region

Victoria is located on the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island. Victoria is reached by air or ferry. You can opt to board the ferry as a foot passenger or drive on board. Whether you choose to go by air or sea, the views are spectacular.

When traveling to Victoria and Vancouver Island from mainland North America, you are accompanied by spectacular views of deep blue seas, rugged coastlines, lush forests, marine life and wildlife.

It is a 1.5 hour ferry ride from Vancouver's Tsawwassen ferry terminal to Victoria's Swartz Bay terminal via the BC Ferries. By helicopter, it will take 25 minutes one way from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria. Airplane will also take 25 minutes from downtown to downtown.

Getting to Victoria By Sea

Victoria is well-connected to mainland British Columbia and Washington State by vehicle and passenger ferries and high-speed catamarans.
